very unique wedding same as all others

this weekend i was busy in attending a weeding. normally i skip these kind of events or let my husband go. but this time i had to go as i know this father of the groom very well ,a very elderly man and he was persistant that we should attend it. Moreover he is my mother-in-laws relative .Combining everything ,vedict is i have to go... phew.

I made train reservations ,its a 5-6hr journey from my place. Mistake one: i opted for train, i wish i used some brain and would have hit road in our car. mistake 2: my husband Drove all the way to railway station and parked it there. i asked that parking guy how much it costs he said 120 for a day. Ok.. but those buggers charged 280 bucks for that.

another big mistake is not to book 2A or 3A. Its a sleeper. its a chilly and windy night. our berths were so cold and even though we managed to close all windows ,some how its very chilly and windy. and asusual with kids esp with my 13 months old i could hardly sleep.

Marriage: this guy wants to show how he can make this even the most talked in family circles. His son was working in Australia. He invited his austrailan boss and coleges to this wedding. they all flew from there. it was a three day marriage and a hybrid marriage with groom comming on a ghoda (rare in south Indian marriage and especially in our community) and he arranged a disco . next they they wanted to touch base lost traditions it seems, got the bride in a palanquin.
i heard people talking that you know what my grandmother also came in a 'palanquin'.

i felt very bore. I really hate attending marriages. I don't like to get dressed up in benaras or kanchi and gold .May be i'm not good at that. I prefer cotton to any other type. Anyway marriage was grand and every was talking about. and some people were busy in finding what went wrong. and some were showcasing their ornaments. and some in making matches,by bringing their most eligible bachelors and bragging about how much they earn. some times its really fun to watch this. but most often you get interrupted by some aunties ,talking to you .

i feel that waste a lot ,trying to show off to people whom we really don't care.

2010 restrospective

2010 for me:

Personal life: now i'm more organized mother . It was tough to leave my kid when i come to work. but slowly got adjusted . More matured in thinking. normal fights with my family members . getting a maid at home is one good thing i did. it eased lot of headache and stress from me. Playing with my kids is real stress buster for me. I'm really wondering how much patience i'm showing these days. really enjoyed a lot with my kids this year

professional life: interesting , confident . Quit my old job ,joined a new one. But don't know if its a right decision or not in long run. But got to do new things. moved towards people management than technical stuff. Improved in decision making process.

what should i look out:
1. Diet control: eating more sweets nowadays. I don't know i used to hate sweets, but after pregnancy i'm just loving it. I should restrict it

2.Exercise: not at all working out. excuse i'm having is baby. I'm soo busy with this little one,was not able to work on. But still if i really want to ,i can make time for it right? my tummy is sagging and is at 30-36 . I'm able to sqeeze into my old jeans ,but sagging tummy is not good. in tight fits i still look like 3-6 months preggo

3. No harsh words: yes, no harsh words esp to my family members...again on my list

4. sleep well: its hard to get a full night sleep. This girl is still making me wake up in the middle of night.

telangana issue..

This political battle in andhra(should i call AP?? ) is really bothering me from past few weeks.
I like hyderabad. i used to hate it when i moved back from banglore.. but slowly i got a hang of it..
Hyderabad.. hmmm yes delicious biryani(i'm a veggi.. even that tastes good) ,Its culture etc amazing..

my home town is in costal andhra . Now suddenly i became an alien in my own state.

I hate KCR for starting this regional thing out. I mean i'm not against his separatism etc,but the way he talks makes my blood boil. when you are a politician you should watch your language. who is he to give us protection?? we are indians and we can live at any place... its not their whim and wish! we are not living on his mercy??

my maid from telangana hardly knows this, other day she was asking me "is there a bandh tommorow" i said i'm not sure.. she was worried that her sons who goes to city to work cannot go ,this bandh makes situation worse for them..those who call for a bandh shoud pay to these innocent people.

Baby Blues..

what are baby blues.. feeling high one second ,and feeling low next second??
or shouting at my DH for small things.. and then crying??

my leave is getting over, i want to go to work.. but i don't want to leave my little baby. what to do..
one good news is my weight loss is encouraging..,still i have to shed 5 kgs.. i was 84 kgs on the day of delivery ,was 60 before i got pregnant. now i'm somewhere at 65+

new mom

Its been 6 weeks sisnce baby is born . Let me tell you its not that hard but its not easy..

first thing i got most is advices. everyone from my maid to stranger in streets are giving tips on what to eat ,how to hold the baby etc..

i welcomed some advices and got scared of some advices.

1.Diet: this is the most favourite topic of advices. I did some experimenting with my diet as i have to loose some pounds.
Ghee: my mom's favourite ,she insisted that i have to eat loads of ghee.. as she did the same. But with my doctors brainwash(i took help of my doctor) she finally left it. Its always better to limit intake of fattty items. No fry's very less oil

Vegetables: again here my mom kept some restriction, its quite surprising to see opinons on the veggeis are quite contridictory. What ever my mom suggest's my mother -in -law say's that shud not be eaten and vice versa. So finally i took the call. Ate almost all vegetables ,ofcouse not too spicy and with less oil. So my advice is eat all vegetables.

water: many people adviced me not to drink much water. I ignored this completely. My doctor suggested to drink plenty of water as it boosts breastfeeding ,and helps in fighting against infections etc. It worked well. My tip is drink a large glass of warm water as soon as you get up (after brushing your teeth.. ) .This helps in reducing post pregnancy tummy. I looked 6 months pregnant after delivery,i had a c-section. now after 6 weeks i feel som eof that tummy is reduced. But its still there.. any tips on how to reduce it??

hairy days

Long long time ago i blogged..

Bit busy these days... or nothing to update.... or scorching summer.... i can put blame on any of these things for not visiting my blog. :)

what all i did past days...I had a hair cut... its been a year since i got one... yeah my hair don't grow that doesn't bother me.. what bothers me is the volume of my hair ,its so thin ,on top of it it falls more .. luckily i have curly hair.. so it appears as if my hair is of normal volume

sometimes i feel that i may go bald someday. Some one suggested take zinc /folic acid /iron etc... but nothing showed a big impact on my hair.

My mom used to day take A&D capsules etc.. but i didn't find much useful.

But i do try constantly new tips and apply new oils etc.. though i know its of vein
